Main:

The 2018 year is soon over. I should more often publish these. Much has happened and I have developed a lot for the new year but how many things do I get ready. Many in the below topics associated with python but I have also done tests in different languages example c# with GuessTheNumber.

Python:

IT8c and VSLst got a big update that takes forward my system that maintains all the information. The first release of the visual addon project is out and its PTIA. Need to do a tutorial for that. Python test codes received their own ID but still maintain an alphabetic system. PTB Database has been delayed a lot. But that will be a big deal. A few other things I have developed but have not reached the finishing.

Time Leap:

This Time Leap idea came from a friend and I wanted to help him play idle games better. This software is able to change pc's time temporarily.

Other:
I have bought a few things, but they will become its own separate post. For example, I bought a few products on black friday. It's somewhat hard to make any video so they're coming to this blog.

Smart Label Printer 450 Drivers

I did not find any easy instructions on how to get or install drivers and thought I needed special drivers but no. I chose the latest driver and I downloaded.

I picked custom install (The "Complete" installation did not work for me).

Then open the "Windows Printer Driver" where I found the right device to enable it and now I was able to continue normal installation. By default it was disabled

SLP 450 Printer works! You can get these printers at a good price because they are old, but useful after latest driver

The products came in and lasted no more than 2-3 weeks. First came the seat belt pad and then monitor. Seat belt pad even came as a right color choice. The monitor is not a miracle. The text is fuzzy and the picture quality is missing but it comes to simple use where this may not be a problem. I'm going to make a video at least from this monitor because there were problems with getting the picture which was not due to this monitor.

Nokia 8: First preview

Now it was time to switch to a new smartphone. I've been thinking for some time what the next would be. But using the Samsung Galaxy S6 (4G) there was no huge difference to others smartphones. S6 was a surprisingly good.
The important features I wanted was usb type-c and vanilla android. And I got a good deal in the store about Nokia and decided to try it.

The first impression after the purchase was weird because it needed to connect to a wifi so that android could upgrade to 8.1.0 before I can play with it even though own subscription is actually much better. But after that it was great and snappy.

I write about this more later when I am familiar with this

Whats happening with PTB Database?

What is this software? This is a versatile software for data collection and processing. I use this app to keep track of how much what parts, tools and food I have in house and at work with different projects. Whenever add or change the product's data, the timestamp remains for later use.

PTB Database has developed a lot since the beginning of last year and soon its get a new style and two new user interfaces: website and graphical. I was somewhat close to the finish, but I want to develop a new data storage style. For example, json could be a better file type. I'm going to do a script that transfer data between these versions so no problem. I want to first develop text based to this new style and then graphic and web version. I see new opportunities if I change style.

Hosting with website would bring a lot of new features. Currently when I use PTB database I'm logged in linux server via ssh and launched software which is a surprisingly good style for me, but in the local network it would be great to use the browser

It is somewhat difficult to get the same level visuals as usual. The decision to change IT5c on another platform is a tough decision (1620 series to 6500 series).

Guess The Number

I started again programming with C# and I did a simpler program for testing the different features. Full code of this software in GitHub. Coming up more software with C# later and I still plan how to publish them.

Highlights:
New video on youtube where I unboxed my new Lucid Sound LS20 headphones and still works well with my notebook on the go.
Website:
New things have come and more are coming. Front page needs something more than Facebook and Twitter feeds.
Python:
Currently making visual addon to projects. I want certain style when I make tui projects and I want to make it easier.
YouTube:
Unboxing video wasn't quality what I want but still wanted to publish it. I want develop a common style for future videos.
Documents:
I'm starting to make better project documents. Have not yet decided how to publish them online yet.

Lucid Sound LS20

I bought new on ear gaming headset and I made a quick unboxing video to youtube. These were like a 78% discount and I paid 13 euros for these. Package contents boom mic,  mini jack audio cable, micro usb cable and 2x mic port covers. These looks nice headphones and give a good first impression. Looks slightly like Beats Solo and not like a gaming headset. One good feature was immediately visible, you can get all cables off if necessary. The headset came with the charging cable because these have a built in amplifier which adds additional features in addition to amplifying music. For example, different modes to connect different gadgets.

What does music sound like? Music sounds good but not like msrp level quality. These are made to look high quality and they succeeded there but not in sound quality or comfort. You will notice the comfort after an hour. I see a reason why these have gone down in price.
Microphone was a positive thing. Works well when talking to friends while playing. I speak silently and still my friends at the discord heard me clear.

Do I recommend these? If this are discounted and you need headphones for occasional use I say yes. I'll mainly going to use these when i'm traveling or going somewhere.

HP Envy 15" Notebook

I bought a used laptop which replaces my old "Toshiba Satellite L955D-107" laptop. The previous laptop did not have a separate graphics card and this made a big difference. With this I can write many documents and browse plenty chrome tabs at same time on the go and thats big thing. Battery life is approx 4 hours so not bad whit this work load.
This is pretty comfortable to keep in hand while typing with other hand but I do not get a secure grip and gets little bit dirty easily but neither of them really matter that muchs.
Features
My first laptop with backlight keyboard and it's cool but not the most useful thing. Same thing with 'Bang & Olufsen' speakers or any laptop speakers so far. But this fhd screen resolution is awesome. It's tn panel and still is big change for me. Can't say much about fingerprint sensor. I turned it off because it didn't work (Originally intended for Windows 8 HP software).
Connectors
I do not need all these connectors at the same time but ethernet, hdmi and couple usb ports are good to have. I liked Toshiba's charging connector more than this because although both are kind a same type of connectors but of different sizes.
